Conducted at the Marpi Educational Center, located in the Indigenous Reservation of Chiles, Municipality of Cumbal, Department of Nariño, Republic of Colombia, this research employed a mixed-methods approach with a group of 12 students across several sessions. Following the stages of action research, tools such as surveys and the standardized test called Basic Mathematics Competence Test were employed. These instruments served both in the diagnostic phase to identify the students' initial difficulties and in the evaluation phase to measure their progress. The results indicated a significant improvement in students' comprehension of addition and subtraction concepts and increased confidence when performing mathematical operations. Additionally, there was greater participation and collaboration during the learning process, suggesting that the strategy effectively fostered a dynamic and participative learning environment. In conclusion, implementing "La Shagra" proved to be a valuable tool for strengthening basic operations learning in primary-level students, highlighting the importance of practical and contextualized approaches in mathematics education and the creation of motivating educational environments.

El propósito fundamental fue mejorar la comprensión y el dominio de estos conceptos matemáticos básicos, utilizando un enfoque práctico y contextualizado. La investigación, con un enfoque mixto, se desarrolló en el Centro Educativo Marpi, perteneciente al Resguardo Indígena de Chiles, Municipio de Cumbal, Departamento de Nariño, República de Colombia; aplicando la estrategia a un grupo de 12 estudiantes durante varias sesiones. Siguiendo las fases de la investigación acción, se emplearon herramientas como encuestas y la prueba estandarizada denominada Test de Competencia Matemática Básica. Estos instrumentos se utilizaron tanto en la fase diagnóstica, para identificar las dificultades iniciales de los estudiantes, como en la fase de evaluación, con el fin de medir su progreso. Los resultados evidenciaron una notable mejora en la comprensión de los conceptos de suma y resta, junto con un aumento en la confianza de los estudiantes al realizar operaciones matemáticas. Asimismo, se observó una mayor participación y colaboración en el proceso de aprendizaje por parte de los alumnos, lo que sugiere que la estrategia fue eficaz para fomentar un ambiente de aprendizaje dinámico y participativo. A pesquisa, de métodos mistos, foi realizada no Centro Educativo Marpi, localizado no Resguardo Indígena de Chiles, Município de Cumbal, Departamento de Nariño, na Colômbia. A estratégia foi aplicada a um grupo de 12 alunos ao longo de várias sessões. Seguindo as etapas da pesquisa-ação, utilizou-se o Teste de Competência em Matemática Básica, um instrumento padronizado, além de questionários. Esses instrumentos foram aplicados tanto na fase diagnóstica, para identificar as dificuldades iniciais dos alunos, quanto na fase de avaliação, com o objetivo de medir o progresso alcançado. Os resultados indicaram uma melhora significativa na compreensão dos conceitos de adição e subtração, e um aumento na confiança dos alunos ao realizar operações matemáticas.
