description This article presents the project "Museum of Science and Technology in Parque La Carolina, Quito" the result of a master's thesis that focuses on the search for the role of architecture in the contemporary condition. For this, it is based on the proposal of Edgar Morin's "Complex Thought", it uses a methodology of inclusion of inputs for project strategies through non-hierarchical matrices, which include the concepts of livelihoods, management models , parametric software and prospective thinking as structuring systems, and they are verified from three scales: 1) the neighborhood that generates the interactions of the building with an urban role, 2) that of the building itself from its shape and therefore the language it represents, and 3) of use, in which it is evident that the space generated is useful for the activity that it must fulfill.

Para esto se basa en la propuesta del “Pensamiento complejo” de Edgar Morin, utiliza una metodología de inclusión de insumos para las estrategias de proyecto a través de matrices no jerárquicas, en las que se incluyen los conceptos de medios de vida, modelos de gestión, software paramétrico y pensamiento prospectivo como sistemas estructurantes, y, se verifican desde tres escalas: 1) la barrial que genera las interacciones del edificio con un rol urbano, 2) la del edificio mismo desde su forma y por tanto el lenguaje que representa, y 3) de uso, en la que se evidencia que el espacio generado es útil para la actividad que debe cumplir.Este artigo apresenta o projeto "Museu de Ciência e Tecnologia do Parque La Carolina, Quito", resultado de uma dissertação de mestrado que enfoca a busca do papel da arquitetura na condição contemporânea.
