Barrett's esophagus is mostly considered tobe the final stage of relux esophagitis, with higheposure to acid and loss of esophagical function.Complications would be linked to high alkaline exposureof the esophagical mucosa altered by duodenogastricreflux. Patients with severe dysplasia or in situ or precoxcarcinoma can be cured by means of resection. |
