| Summary: | The article falls within the field of ideological criticism and reflects on the link between childhood figures and the fantasy of merit. For this, it takes into account scenes of political communication and information production that circulated between 2015 and 2021 in Argentina. In this inquiry, the notion of fantasies (social and ideological) becomes central, since it allows to account for the ways of ideological functioning of the narratives selected for its approach. In the first part of the article we work on the central concepts: childhood, merit and ideology from a critical perspective. Then, the term fantasies is introduced alongside with its operation within the analytical strategy framework. In the third part, the analysis and interpretation of the selected scenes is presented. Finally, a series of final considerations are introduced about the way in which the ideological and its implications operate. |
