Shrnutí:The purpose of the research was to determine the effects on the level of learning achievement in Mathematics, in the competencies of solving problems of quantity and solving problems of regularity, equivalence, and change, using the Álbum-Mátic in Pólya's strategy. The problem addressed based on the results of the last few years of international, national, and local evaluations that show a level of achievement in the area of mathematics below the initial level, which describes students who cannot solve simple and basic problems for the grade enrolled or age of the student. We employed a quasi-experimental design with a sample of 60 first-year high school students, dividing them into a control group of 30 and an experimental group of 30. We collected information from them using entrance and exit tests, each comprising eight items. In the quasi-experiment, contextualized problems of the socioeconomic and cultural environment of the province of Jauja - Peru, were solved, motivated by the desire to complete a personal-social album and directed with the phases of Pólya's strategy to solve problems. The main conclusion reached was that there is a significant difference in the mean scores of the groups of students in the exit test, a difference in favor of the students who used the Album-Matic in the Pólya strategy in their learning sessions, with a significance level of 0.05.
