Sumario:The purpose of this article is to analyze the current nursing situation from a hermeneutical approach in Modernity and Postmodernity, taking Lyotard´s thought as the theoretical frame of ork. The article discusses the different positions that Nursing has encountered based on the emancipated and speculative models in the context of Modernity, and by the beginning of the 21st century by the Postmodern one. Both contexts are thought by the idea of governmental metanarrative, or emancipator postmodernity.
