Se enfatiza la importancia de evaluar las pérdidas antes de que la hipovolemia se instale, de.terminando su ritmo, cantidad y calidad. .Se insiste en la necesidadde una valoración dinámica, considerando además la adecuación de la volemia a la potencia cardíaca y a la resistencia periférica, y los efectos de la fluidoterapia.Se señala el papel de la iatrogenia como factor a valorar mencionando la creciente frecuencia de la patología del edema.
