Description
Summary:We present the case of a 46-year-old woman with no relevant medical history who suffered a bicycle accident, sustaining a shearing injury when she was dragged by a bus. She presented with a fracture of the left scapula and ribs. Swelling was present in the left buttock, which increased in size over time, revealing extensive ecchymosis on the back and buttocks upon physical examination, fluctuant upon palpation. A progressive decrease in hemoglobin levels required hematologic replacement.
