| Résumé: | The study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the meanings and notions associated with public modernization and innovation as understood by government officials in the city of Córdoba during the administrations of Ramón B. Mestre (2015-2019) and Martín Llaryora (2019-2023). To achieve this, a qualitative methodological approach was employed, with semi-structured interviews with key informants (bureaucrats, officials, and advisors) serving as the main input for a diachronic comparison between both periods. The main findings point to a positive connotation of innovation, the persistence of a linear perspective on the matter (strongly linked to a productive and technology-driven vision), the polysemy in the use of the concepts of innovation and modernization, and the presence of strong hybridity and the overlapping of public administration models. |
