| סיכום: | When clínica/ evaluation is not enough, the evaluation ofthe venous candi/ion of /he upper limbs far the realiza/ionof angioaccess far hemodialysis is classically based onphlebography, an invasive, risky method. Theappearance of non invasive techniques such asecoDoppler (duplex) makes it necessary to do researchin arder to determine the utility of the method and defineits indications. The authors analyse 35 venous mappingsof the upper limbs by phlebography and duplex andcompare its results far /he different venous regions. Theycome to the conclusion that duplex presented the bestperformance far /he humero-axillary-subc/avian regían,detecting thrombosis with a sensitivity of 100%, aspecificity of 97%, positive predictive value of 50% andnegative predictive va/ue of 100%. Far superficial axis(radial and superficial ulnar, basilic and cephalic) there islow sensitivity far the determina/ion of presence andpermeability of the axis but 100% specificity. Duplex wasno/ use ful far the description of veins in arder todetermine utility far AVF Final/y, the authors makerecomendations as regards indications of theseparaclinical tests. |
