Control1ed therapeutic evisceration is a procedurewhich consists in placing a substitute tissue instead ofclosing the abdominal wal! in cases of successive reoperations,hyperseptic peritonitis, evisceration in seriouslysick patients or in cases of ample resections dueto superficial infections.
