| description | Starting from the ideas formulated by E. Haeckel in the 19th century about ontogeny and phylogeny, some examples of the production oftheories in the psi field are reviewed. The possibility of studying the history of the human species from the evolutionary history of an individual turned out to be a powerful and inspiring idea. In the article special emphasis is placed on the theory proposed by Arnaldo Rascovsky in the late fifties of the last century and some background is reviewed, such as Otto Rank´s ideas exposed in the Birth Trauma and Lloyd DeMause’s psychohistory. Childhood and the theoretical constructions about the psychism of the prenatal stages of doubtful existence, constitute an opportunity to establish connections between the developments of the psi field, the scientific discourse and marginal thinking. |

Haeckel en el siglo XIX sobre la ontogenia y la filogenia se repasan algunos ejemplos de producción de teorías en el campo psi. La posibilidad de ver la historia de la especie desde la historia evolutiva de un individuo resultó una idea potente e inspiradora. En el artículo se hace especial énfasis en la teoría propuesta por Arnaldo Rascovsky a fines de la década del cincuenta del siglo pasado y se revisan algunos antecedentes como las ideas de Otto Rank en el Trauma del Nacimiento y la psicohistoria de Lloyd DeMause. La infancia y las construcciones teóricas sobre el psiquismo de las etapas prenatales de dudosa existencia, constituyen una oportunidad para establecer conexiones entre los desarrollos del campo psi, el discurso científico y el pensamiento marginal.Partindo das ideias formuladas por E. Haeckel no século XIX sobre a ontogenia e a filogenia, são revistos alguns exemplos da produção de teorias no domínio psi. A possibilidade de olhar para a história da espécie a partir da história evolutiva de um indivíduo foi uma ideia poderosa e inspiradora. O artigo dá especial ênfase à teoria proposta por Arnaldo Rascovsky no final dos anos 50 e revê alguns antecedentes como as ideias de Otto Rank em Trauma de Nascimento e a psico-história de Lloyd DeMause. A infância e as construções teóricas sobre o psiquismo das fases pré-natais de existência duvidosa constituem uma oportunidade para estabelecer conexões entre os desenvolvimentos no campo psi, o discurso científico e o pensamento marginal.Universidad de Montevideo.
