| Summary: | Considering recent studies developed by authors in different latitudes about the negative consequences of high-confl ict divorce, it appears necessary to develop an instrument designed to show a source of intra-family child mistreatment derived from parental contact obstruction, operationalized as alienation. Such instrument could be used in clinical and social contexts, as well as within the context of Family Courts, linked to professional practices where precise decisions related to this controversial topic must be taken. Preliminary results related to the instrument ZICAP-Scale are presented. The main goal of the present study is to defi ne and describe statistical factors that determine the existence of father’s excision and parental alienation in children and adolescents of Chile through a reliable and valid instrument to take decisions within the context of clinical, social and legal practice. |
