The histological data are presented.Se presenta un cistoadenoma de páncreas, tumor poco frecuente, en general y en particular la localización cefálica. Clínicamente este caso, así como la mayoría de loscitados, en la literatura, había alcanzado gran tamaño. El tratamiento quirúrgico consistió en duodenopancreatectomía cefálica. Se consideran los fttndamentos anatomopatológicosy oncológicos de este procedimiento. Se revisó la literatura existente al respecto. Se destacan las dificultades técnicas y cómo fueron resueltas.
