Sumari:This thesis explores certain legal instruments that respond to the current climate crisis at both the international and national levels. In the course of this study, Uruguay's leadership position in response to climate change is illustrated, in order to arrive at a conclusion to answer the research question of this work. It also includes an international perspective from Compliance in conjunction with general issues in the international sphere of environmental protection and the repercussions of new European legislation in terms of sustainability. Finally, the dissertation includes an illustrative view of the environmental issues and actions carried out in Uruguay.
