The main epidemiological, diagnostica/ andtherapeutical variables are described. 145 patients withcolorrectal cancer were recruited between 1984 and1993, with a mean age of 63, 7 years and a matefrequency of 86/145 (59%).La Sección Coloproctología del Hospital Central de lasFuerzas Armadas, desde 1984 capta los pacientesportadores de cáncer colorrectal (CCR) a través de unseguimiento protocolizado computarizado;describiéndose las principales variables epidemiológicas,diagnósticas y terapéuticas. En el período 1984-1993 sereclutaron 145 pacientes con CCR, con una edad mediade 63,7 años y una frecuencia de hombres de 86/145(59%).Se destaca que se hallaron 116/145 (80%) pacientesmayores de 55 años.Con antecedentes familiares de CCR 9/111 (8, 1%) y7/110 (6,3%) de otros cánceres.Las lesiones predominan en el sector izquierdo 93/145(64%) y en etapas avanzadas 116/138 (84%).
