| الملخص: | Uruguayan magazine La Pluma (1927-1931) published, among many other topics, texts and images from German Expressionism. This article proposes that, in the global context of the Montevidean publication and according to its leading thematic, these texts and images were used as equivalents to war rejection and condemnation to Fascism. Several intellectuals residing in Uruguay -Orsini Bertani, Alberto Zum Felde, Carla Witte- meet in its pages with their German counterparts -Georg Grosz, Käthe Kollwitz. Pacifism and Antifascism are emblematized as interchangeable cultural and ideological flags in La Pluma, as a modern leftist publication; Expressionism is just one of its many faces. |
