| الملخص: | Introduction:Faecal incontinence has a negative impact on the quality of life of those who sufferfromit. Anal sphincteroplasty may be indicated when the cause ismyogenic, and the results are still discouraging.Surgical technique and clinical cases: The surgical technique used in the Surgical Clinics 2 at the Maciel Hospital is presented, along with two clinical cases. Discussion:The anterior anal sphincteroplasty can be performed by simple coping or with an over lapping technique, there being no evidence that any of themis superior in terms of distant results. Conclusions: The long-term results of anal sphincteroplasty are poor, being the associated pudendal neuropathy the one that conditions and can predict most of thetherapeutic failures. |
