Así, se atiende a la representación de estos estereotipos y roles a través de las protagonistas de la serie, cuyas historias se ambientan en tres épocas diferentes, lo cual permite trazar claramente dicha evolución. Partiendo de los estudios de género, los estudios culturales y los estudios visuales, se propone un análisis de los personajes anteriormente mencionados atendiendo a sus rasgos físicos, psicológicos, y a las relaciones que mantienen con otros personajes. Así, pese a tratarse de un producto concreto, permitirá elaborar una visión general sobre la evolución de los roles y estereotipos de género a lo largo de las décadas y la influencia de las diferentes olas del movimiento feminista y avances sociales en esta materia.Este artigo reflete, com base na série Por que as mulheres matam (Why Women Kill, Marc Cherry, 2019), sobre a evolução dos estereótipos de gênero e dos papéis assumidos pelas personagens femininas. Assim, é analisada a representação desses estereótipos e papéis por meio das protagonistas da série, cujas histórias se passam em três épocas diferentes, o que permite traçar claramente essa evolução. Com base em estudos de gênero, estudos culturais e estudos visuais, propõe-se uma análise dos personagens mencionados em termos de suas características físicas e psicológicas e das relações que mantêm com outros personagens.
