The screening is the best way fardiagnosis of early colorectal cancer andpremalignant /esions.We use inmunological test in arder to detect thefecal occult blood because it have a very highspecificity and sensibility over 90%.Between Ju/y 3 and October 16 of 1996 1.000patients were included. Those patients wereover 50 years old and they must not have anydigestive symptom. More than 80,5% (805)complete the study, 14,6% (117) were positiveand 70 of them received a colonoscopy Wefound 75 co/orectal /esions in 48 patients with 28adenomas. |
