The Federación Uruguaya de Remo celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, in 2023, longevity that stands out due to its early establishment. As a remarkable federation with an exemplary national-scale development, some of the clubhouses that were established around the country would become outstanding landmarks. This research focuses on a sports discipline that once was a source of joy and pride in Uruguay, and delves into those architectural expressions that reflect the national imagery around sports; in this case, the image of a country in permanent growth, successful, and, as such, groundbreaking in its architectural infrastructure. |
