Gaia:This paper present a implementation of Ty Win [1], a system for constructive 2D graphic design proposed by Juan José Cabezas [Cab91]. Ty Win extends the usual concept of window in computer graphics, associating a type with every window in the system. Then, the displaying rules (graphic representation rules) for an object in a certain window depends of its type. The displaying rules were designer inspired on the "Constuctive Universalism" of the uruguayan painter Joaquín Torres García and the type system of Ty Win takes as a theoretical framework the type theory of the swedish mathematician Per Martin Löf. Two main modules of the system were implemented, a programming language intepreter 2D graphic design and a systemto define libraries of "icons" (or ideagrams). In order in increase the powe of the system, the original language proposed in [Cab91] was extended. The result is an environment for 2D graphic design, with some original features which are showed through a collection of examples including paintings of Joaquín Torres García.
