Este estudio se enfoca en la enseñanza del PE en el nivel de grado de Enfermería en una universidadprivada de la ciudad de Montevideo. El objetivo ha sido indagar en las prácticas docentes para enseñar esta herramienta. Se empleó un diseño cualitativo. Las técnicas de recolección de información fueron la entrevista y la observación a 6 docentes que dictaban la asignatura de enfermería. La elección de los docentes se rigió por la necesidad de estar dando esta asignatura en el período que se realizó el estudio. El análisis consistió en buscar patrones comunes y características entre los docentes estudiados. Se utilizó la triangulación de las dos técnicas: la entrevista y la observación. Los resultados muestran la dificultad en la enseñanza del PE y la aplicación en el área asistencial.O ensino do Processo Enfermeiro e sua articulação à prática tem sido –e ainda é– motivo de estudo na disciplina de enfermagem. O presente estudo focaliza no ensino do PE, no curso superior de uma universidade particular da cidade deMontevidéu. O objetivo foi pesquisar nas práticas dos professores no ensino desta ferramenta. Empregou-se um desenho qualitativo. As técnicas de coleta de informação foram a entrevista e a observação de seis docentes que lecionam a disciplina de enfermagem. A escolha dos docentes foi baseada na necessidade de estar ministrando a disciplina durante o período em que o estudo era feito. A análise consistiu em procurar, entre os docentes estudados, padrões e características em comum. Foi utilizada a triangulação das duas técnicas: a entre vista e a observação.
