Sumari:A 74-year-old male patient had vascular compressionof duodenum caused by an aneurysm ofabdominal aorta.Transit studied by barium, digestive endoscopyand CAT scan showed the extrinsic compressionof the third portion of duodenum between theaneurysm and the upper mesenteric artery. Surgeryconfirmed diagnosis, the aorta was replacedby a prosthesis and the four portion was put backin place by sectioning the Treitz muscle. This isthe first national report of a situation which is consideredin literature as a very rare cause of superiormesenteric artery syndrome
