Este artículo es un acercamiento a los contratos inteligentes, o smart contracts, se busca destacar cuáles son las dificultades de adaptación que los smart sontracts enfrentan en el derecho uruguayo para prosperar y potenciar su uso, una vez acordado que a ellos les es aplicable el régimen general de contratos. El tratamiento de la materia se ha hecho sin ánimo de exhaustividad y con referencias al contexto actual.Diariamente somos testemunhas dos avanços da tecnologia. Assistimos ao avanço da blockchain e suas aplicações, e ao crescimento da inteligência artificial. O blockchain possui muitas aplicações potenciais, entre elas os contratos inteligentes. Este artigo é uma aproximação aos contratos inteligentes, ou smart contacts, buscando destacar quais são as dificuldades de adaptação que os contratos inteligentes enfrentam no direito uruguaio para prosperar e melhorar a sua utilização, uma vez acordado que a eles é aplicável o regime geral dos contratos.
