| Summary: | Abdominoparietal remodeling surgery is a form of re•conslructive surgery intended to create a new adequacyin the containing (functioning) condition in seriousand extended parí3tal disorder on the basis of acalculated loss of tensional abdominal flexibility, wherebythree basic objectives are achieved: to regain continence;readapt visceral condition; and recover support of phrenic centre. This operation requires the useof prosthetic materials, of which, the best is the Marlex(R) mesh. lndications must be very precise: multioperatedabdomens with multiple failures, umbilical herniasand giant centroabdominal ventral hernias and thecomplex pathology of the bilateral inguinal area. Resultsare excellent. |
