Resumo:The authors analyse 121 patients that underwent totaladventitectomy out of a total of 193 treated forhydatidosis between 1979 and 1990. They analyseindications, preoperative preparation, and technicalaspects of the resection aswe/1 as morbimortality. Globalmortality was 2.4%. lt is concluded that totalativentitectomy is an excellent procedure that preventsthe serious posoperative complications of conservativeprocedures and adventitial disease.
