Özet:Hate speech (HS) has become an increasingly pressing issue, especially within the context of what we identify as the new right. These radicalized groups frequently target vulnerable communities —including LGBT+ individuals, feminist activists, racialized groups, and migrants— posing a challenge to defining the boundaries of freedom of expression, particularly when these actions occur in digital spaces. Addressing hate speech requires a social perspective on discourse. Through a comprehensive literature review of the most recent and relevant work in this field, this paper explores the causes and characteristics of hate speech circulation, focusing on how it relates to its specific social and cultural contexts.
