Beskrivelse
Summary:Various studies conducted at internationalleve/ have shown a significant incidence of failures ofprothesico-arterial bridges, particular/y those in whichdistal anastomosis is /ocated at infrapoplitea/ leve/,in sma/1 calibre arteries. Primary permeability isapproximately 40% after one year and 12% after 4years, evolution. In a paper concerning experimentalwork carried out by the Basic Surgery department, which was presented to the Uruguayan Congress ofSurgery in 1997, we showed that there was a /owerincidence of miointimal hyperplasia (MIH) after onemonth 's evolution in distal porthesico-arterial anastomosiswith venous ring, in sheep.
