Se insiste en su gravedad y frecuencia crecientes, debido al incesante incremento de la mecanización y de la velocidad en el tránsito y en la industria, Se analizan las causas de muerte y los mecanismosfisiopatológicos de ambas lesiones traumáticas, enfatizando sus efectos nocivos individuales y su interacción mutua sumativa.
