Thus, the aim of this paper was to study the correlation between these variables in secondary school students in the province of Entre Ríos, Argentina, at three points in their school career. The study is quantitative, being a longitudinal and descriptive-correlational research. The Psychological Capital Questionnaire and the Personal Growth Initiative Scale, both instruments adapted to an Argentinean sample, were used to collect data. Statistically significant positive correlations were obtained between all dimensions at each of the three evaluation times. Based on the findings, it is feasible to assume that a student who possesses the resources that constitute psychological capital will also have the capacity to benefit from the opportunities for change and growth that arise. Furthermore, it is worth noting that the association scores exhibited a slight decrease towards the end of the third half, which coincides with middle adolescence. This stage is characterized by a certain level of instability, various changes, and uncertainties about the future; for all these reasons, it is essential to promote personal strengths in adolescent students through psychological interventions.

Así, el objetivo del presente trabajo fue estudiar la correlación entre las variables en estudiantes de nivel secundario de la Provincia de Entre Ríos, Argentina, en tres momentos de su recorrido escolar. El estudio es cuantitativo, tratándose de una investigación longitudinal y descriptiva–correlacional. Para recolectar los datos se utilizó el Cuestionario de capital psicológico y la Escala de iniciativa para el crecimiento personal, ambos instrumentos adaptados a una muestra argentina. Se obtuvieron correlaciones estadísticamente significativas, de carácter positivo entre todas las dimensiones, en cada uno de los tres tiempos evaluados. A partir de los hallazgos encontrados, es factible suponer que un estudiante que posee los recursos que constituyen el capital psicológico también podrá contar con la capacidad de beneficiarse a partir de las oportunidades de cambio y crecimiento que se le vayan presentando. También se destaca que los puntajes de las asociaciones disminuyeron levemente hacia el final del tercer tiempo, coincidiendo con la adolescencia media. En esta etapa suele presentarse cierta inestabilidad, diversos cambios, dudas en cuanto al futuro; por todo ello, es fundamental la promoción de las fortalezas personales en los estudiantes adolescentes, promoviendo su desarrollo a través de intervenciones psicológicas.O capital psicológico e a iniciativa para o crescimento pessoal são recursos pessoais que podem gerar benefícios em diferentes ambientes vitais, como o contexto escolar durante a adolescência. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi estudar a correlação entre essas variáveis em alunos do ensino médio na província de Entre Ríos, Argentina, em três momentos de sua trajetória escolar. O estudo é quantitativo, sendo uma pesquisa longitudinal e descritivo-correlacional. O Questionário de Capital Psicológico e a Escala de Iniciativas de Crescimento Pessoal, ambos instrumentos adaptados a uma amostra argentina, foram usados para a coleta dos dados. Em cada um dos momentos avaliados, foram obtidas correlações estatisticamente significativas de natureza positiva entre todas as dimensões. Com base nos resultados, é possível supor que um aluno que possui os recursos que constituem o capital psicológico também terá a capacidade de se beneficiar das oportunidades de mudança e crescimento que surgirem. Também é digno de nota que os escores de associação diminuíram ligeiramente no final da terceira parte do estudo, coincidindo com o meio da adolescência.
