Ella está envuelta por prolongamientos de lasserosas peritoneal y pericárdica en su cara posterior y por las cintillas del diafragma prolongadas con fibras conjuntivas fibrosas que se fijan en el pericardio fibroso o se pierden envolviendo su cara anterior y las venas suprahepáticas. por lo tanto el orificio del diafragma por donde pasa la vena cava inf,erior no es fibroso, inextensible y adh· erente como se afirma en los libros clásicos. La anatomía de la región lleva a plantear distintos abordaj,es siguiendo ros planos anatómicos.
