| Summary: | Colonic diverticular disease is a condition that can determine serious evolutive infectious complications, which in many cases require surgical treatment.A clinical case of a patient with a colonic diverticular disease, presenting as a complication an acute diffuse peritonitis (Hinchey 3) is shown.Treatment was performed by laparoscopic surgery, cleaning the peritoneal cavity and placing a peritoneal drainage. The evolution was favorable. The main advantage of carrying out this conservative treatment is to have lower morbidity at the parietal level and to avoid carrying out a detransittional colostomy or an emergency colonic resection surgery. |
