| description | Scientific journals are an instrument for validation and dissemination of research, as well as an important tool for sharing the produced knowledge. This article highlights the publication of studies related to the organizational communication of one of the frequently marginalized actors: non-governmental organizations (NGOs). A bibliometric study of 34 scentific articles published in Latin American scientific journals indexed in the Scimago Journal Ranking (SJR) of Scopus and the Latindex catalogue that refer to the organizational communication of NGOs is carried out. The results tell that the theoretical contributions are heterogeneous, although the strategic communication approach shows a consolidation process. The most widely used methods are documentary review and case analysis, which suggests an interest in the construction of a singular and Latin American perspective on a topic that is still in an incipient stage. |

Este artículo pone de relieve la publicación de estudios vinculados a la comunicación organizacional de uno de los actores frecuentemente marginados: las organizaciones no gubernamentales (ONGs). En este artículo se realiza un estudio bibliométrico de 34 artículos científicos publicados en revistas científicas latinoamericanas indizadas en el Scimago Journal Ranking (SJR) de Scopus y del catálogo de Latindex, que hacen referencia a la comunicación organizacional de las ONGs. Los resultados indican que los aportes teóricos son heterogéneos, aunque el enfoque de la comunicación estratégica evidencia un proceso de consolidación. Los métodos más utilizados son la revisión documental y el análisis de casos, lo que sugiere el interés por la construcción de una perspectiva singular y latinoamericanista de un área temática que aún se encuentra en etapa incipiente.As revistas científicas são um instrumento de validação e divulgação de pesquisas, bem como uma importante ferramenta de compartilhamento do conhecimento produzido. Este artigo traz à tona a publicação de estudos relacionados à comunicação organizacional de um dos atores frequentemente marginalizados: as organizações não governamentais (ONGs). É realizado um estudo bibliométrico de 34 artigos científicos publicados em revistas científicas latino-americanas indexadas no Scimago Journal Ranking (SJR) da Scopus e no catálogo de Latindex que se referem à comunicação organizacional das ONGs. Os resultados indicam que as contribuições teóricas são heterogêneas, embora a abordagem da comunicação estratégica evidencie um processo de consolidação.
