Summary:There are various methodologies for analyzing and evaluating the conditions of management of solid waste in a particular area. The present study is based on the collection of information concerning to this subject, the use of geographic information systems to represent the general characteristics of the indigenous community of Pijibasal taking into account regulations. Oncins methodologies and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) - Pan American Center for Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Sciences (in Spanish CEPIS) allowed to determine the size of the samples, the quantitative and qualitative analysis of solid waste. And finally we assessed the physical parameters, chemical and microbiological water were selected through the methods of measurement and analysis established in “Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater” APHA, AWWA and WEF. According to these methods is proposed an integrated waste management Plan for this area of study.
